Presented in partnership with the Center for Women in Politics & Public Policy (CWPPP), BWF's March 24 luncheon presentation at CWPPP's Conference, In this Moment: Women of Color Driving Change for Equity, marks the first public release of our research report, Carrying the Weight, Leading the Change: How Women of Color Grassroots Leaders Navigate Inequities While Driving Solutions. Centering women of color and gender-expansive leaders of grassroots nonprofits, the research names the structural conditions shaping leadership and philanthropic access today — and elevates a core truth: we are the redesigners.
Co-presented by Natanja Craig Oquendo and Jessica Martin, Lead Qualitative Researcher, the session will share key findings, uplift the stories behind the numbers, and illuminate how leaders are already redesigning governance, funding relationships, and nonprofit practice to advance equitable, community-rooted change. Participants will leave with a sharper understanding of what must shift to better resource community power — and what we can build next.
Your ticket includes access to all conference programming, including morning and afternoon workshops. See full schedule here.
