BWF Donors

Donors play a critical role in the Boston Women's Fund's efforts to create a more just and equitable society, with gifts ranging from $5 to $150,000. There are many ways to give and the Fund's staff is available to help you find the approaches most suited to your needs and to the goals of the Fund. Some suggestions follow below.

Annual Gift
A gift to the Annual Fund supports grantmaking, special programmatic initiatives, and the organizational infrastructure. It is central and cements all the work that we do throughout the year.

Endowment Gift: The 2000 Club
Join with 2000 people and help the Fund raise our first million-dollar endowment. By yourself or as part of a team, make a pledge to donate $100 a year for five years. This will lay the foundation for a permanent source of funding for the Boston Women's Fund. Click here for more information on the 2000 Club.

Insurance Policy
Make the Fund a beneficiary of a life insurance policy—one you own that no longer serves its original purpose, one that names the Fund a contingent beneficiary, one you buy to specifically benefit the Fund.

Planned Gift
Charitable lead or remainder trusts and other forms of planned giving support the Fund's growth while providing substantial benefits to the donor. Consult your attorney or accountant.

For your information, a gift of appreciated stock provides more tax benefits than a cash donation. Consult your financial advisor for details.

In-kind Contribution
In the past, friends of the Fund have contributed everything from office furniture to free office space. Offers of donated printing and catering are particularly useful. Volunteering your time is also quite helpful.
